Product information
Coastal Oak
A pale sandy natural oak with soft grain and small knots, light and relaxed in living rooms and bedrooms.
Craftsman Dryback herringbone gives you a classic parquet pattern at a sensible price. The 95 x 380mm blocks are a 2mm glue-down LVT, so they can be laid in a traditional herringbone with a fitter's precision and stay put over underfloor heating.
The six colours match the Craftsman Dryback planks: cool grey Platinum Oak, pale Coastal Oak, honey New Forest Oak, golden-brown Fireside Oak, rustic Sherwood Oak and dark Blackthorn Oak. Each block has a deep embossed 0.3mm wear layer, micro-bevelled edges and anti-microbial protection, and feels soft and warm underfoot.

Craftsman Dryback herringbone is a glue-down floor, so it’s best fitted by a professional to BS8203.
Before you start
- The subfloor must be smooth, clean, dry (below 75% RH) and flat to within 3mm over 2m, which usually means primer and a smoothing compound.
- Acclimatise the packs flat in the room for 48 hours at 18 to 21°C, or 72 hours if they’ve been stored cold, and keep underfloor heating off for 48 hours before, during and after fitting.
- Bond it with an LVT adhesive suitable for dryback flooring, such as Luvanto Universal Adhesive.
- Delivered on a pallet Flooring is heavy, so it comes palletised to the kerbside. You’ll need to move it from the roadside into the property.
- We confirm the day Deliveries run Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. We’ll confirm your date once the order is processed. We can’t offer timed slots.
- Check before you sign Someone needs to be in to sign for it. Look over the packs first and tell us within 24 hours if anything is damaged.
- Book your fitter afterwards Wait until your flooring has arrived before booking a fitter. We can’t cover fitter costs if a delivery is held up.

Frequently asked questions
Can I fit it myself?
We'd recommend a professional, as herringbone needs careful setting out and the blocks are glued down. If you want to DIY, Craftsman SPC Click herringbone comes in the same colours.
How many packs do I need?
Each pack covers 2.16m² (60 blocks). Measure the room, add around 10% to 15% for herringbone cuts, divide by 2.16 and round up.
Is it suitable for underfloor heating?
Yes, up to a maximum of 27°C. Switch the heating off 48 hours before, during and for 48 hours after fitting, then raise it gradually over at least seven days.
Can I use it in a kitchen or bathroom?
Yes, it's 100% water resistant with anti-microbial protection. It isn't suitable for showers, wet rooms or anywhere that's regularly wet.
Can it go in a conservatory?
No. Craftsman isn't suitable for conservatories, sunrooms or other areas that can go over 27°C, and long exposure to direct sunlight can cause discolouration.
