Product information

Luvanto Universal Adhesive is a fully hybrid adhesive approved for Luvanto dryback LVT. It's the one tub for most jobs: it can be used wet set, including over underfloor heating and in areas of direct sunlight, or as a pressure-sensitive adhesive, and it also bonds acoustic underlays to the subfloor.

Fitters like its strong initial grab and long working time, and once set it's very strong; Luvanto says pull-off tests show the smoothing compound fails before the adhesive does. It's solvent-free, odourless and EC1+ rated for low VOC emissions, and it's suitable for high-footfall areas and castor-wheel traffic. Using Luvanto adhesive is one of the conditions of the Luvanto Design warranty.

Frequently asked questions

How much adhesive do I need?

A 5kg tub covers about 18 to 22m² and a 10kg tub about 36 to 44m² with an A2 notched trowel. Rough or porous subfloors use more, so allow a margin.

Universal or High Temperature?

Both are approved for underfloor heating and sunny areas when used wet set. Universal is more versatile, as it can also be used pressure-sensitive and for bonding underlays; High Temperature has a very long working time and higher moisture tolerance.

Can I use it with underfloor heating?

Yes, when applied wet set. Remember Luvanto floors themselves must stay below 27°C at the adhesive line.

How long does it keep?

Shelf life is 12 months, so it's best bought close to when your fitter needs it.
