Knauf Earthwool RS45 50mm Building Slab is an acoustic and thermal insulation product, suitable for use in the construction of floors, ceilings, roofs, rafters and partition walls for superior airborne noise control.
The product is resilient, semi-rigid, non-combustable and is manufactured from rock mineral wool.
Earthwool RS45 mineral wool insulation features a 45kg per/m2 density and an Euroclass A1 fire rating. The product is generally used as part of a system because as a standalone solution, it will only reduce background noise. For retrofit applications, there could be other options which offer a more substantial reduction with less intrusive installation methods, for example when requiring an airborne reduction on an existing floor, wall or ceiling.
