Fireside Oak
A mid golden-brown oak with a slightly muted tone and dark knots, a warm neutral that's easy to live with.
Craftsman SPC Click herringbone makes a parquet pattern much easier to achieve. The 125 x 625mm planks use a 5Gi click system with push-lock short ends, so the pattern goes together without glue and can be walked on as soon as it's down.
Each plank is 5.5mm thick (4.5mm SPC plus a 1mm IXPE underlay), with a 50% stone core for stability, 21dB of impact sound reduction and a 0.3mm deep embossed wear layer. The six colours match the Craftsman 2026 planks: Platinum, Coastal, New Forest, Fireside, Sherwood and Blackthorn Oak.

Craftsman SPC Click herringbone floats over the subfloor with no glue and no extra underlay, as the IXPE underlay is built in.
Before you start
- The subfloor must be hard, dry and flat to within 3mm over 2m, or the joints won’t hold; Jumpax Basic is the quickest way to level an uneven floor.
- Acclimatise the packs flat in the room for 48 hours at 18 to 21°C.
- Leave a 5mm expansion gap at the walls and fitted units.
- Set the pattern out from a centre line, click the long sides together and press the push-lock short ends down.
- Cover the gap with trim or Scotia beading, never filler.
- Delivered on a pallet Flooring is heavy, so it comes palletised to the kerbside. You’ll need to move it from the roadside into the property.
- We confirm the day Deliveries run Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. We’ll confirm your date once the order is processed. We can’t offer timed slots.
- Check before you sign Someone needs to be in to sign for it. Look over the packs first and tell us within 24 hours if anything is damaged.
- Book your fitter afterwards Wait until your flooring has arrived before booking a fitter. We can’t cover fitter costs if a delivery is held up.

Frequently asked questions
Can I fit it myself?
It's designed to make herringbone easier, with push-lock short ends, but setting out the pattern takes care. A professional fitter is recommended, and incorrect fitting can affect the warranty.
How many packs do I need?
Each pack covers 1.56m² (20 planks). Measure the room, add around 10% to 15% for herringbone cuts, divide by 1.56 and round up.
Do I need an underlay?
No. The IXPE underlay is built in, and the warranty requires the floor to go straight onto the subfloor with no separate underlay.
Is it suitable for underfloor heating?
Yes, up to a maximum of 27°C. Switch the heating off 48 hours before, during and for 48 hours after fitting, then raise it gradually over at least seven days.
What warranty does Craftsman have?
The manufacturer gives 20 years for domestic use and 10 years for commercial use, covering manufacturing defects and wear-through of the pattern. Cover reduces year by year, and the warranty doesn't transfer if you sell the property.
