Dove Stone
A very pale off-white stone with gentle cloudy markings, bright and clean, and the light half of a checkerboard with Black Slate.
These 305 x 305mm square tiles are the smaller format in the Luvanto Design stone range. There are two colours, pale Dove Stone and textured Black Slate, and they're designed to work together: lay them alternately for a classic black and white checkerboard, or use either one on its own in a kitchen, bathroom, utility room or hallway.
They're a 2.5mm dryback LVT with an embossed surface and bevelled edges, so they feel warmer and softer than ceramic and don't need grouting or sealing. If you want grout lines, add Luvanto Design Strips between the tiles.

Luvanto Design is a glue-down floor and should be fitted by a professional to BS8203 using Luvanto Universal or High Temperature Adhesive.
Before you start
- The subfloor must be smooth, clean, dry (below 75% RH) and flat to within 3mm over 2m, which usually means primer and a smoothing compound; timber floors are overlaid with plywood first.
- Unpack the flooring and stack it flat in the room for 48 hours at 18 to 21°C, or 72 hours if it has been stored somewhere cold.
- Underfloor heating should be off for 48 hours before, during and after fitting.
- For a checkerboard, your fitter will set out the pattern from the centre of the room so the cut tiles at the edges are even.
- Delivered on a pallet Flooring is heavy, so it comes palletised to the kerbside. You’ll need to move it from the roadside into the property.
- We confirm the day Deliveries run Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. We’ll confirm your date once the order is processed. We can’t offer timed slots.
- Check before you sign Someone needs to be in to sign for it. Look over the packs first and tell us within 24 hours if anything is damaged.

Frequently asked questions
Can I create a checkerboard floor?
Yes. Dove Stone and Black Slate come in the same 305 x 305mm size, so you can lay them alternately. Order roughly half your area in each colour, plus extra for cuts.
How many packs do I need?
Each pack covers 1.86m² (20 tiles). Measure the room in square metres, add around 10% for cuts, divide by the pack coverage and round up.
Can I use it in a kitchen or bathroom?
Yes, it's 100% waterproof and has an R10 slip rating. Luvanto says it shouldn't be fitted outdoors or anywhere that's continuously wet, such as inside a shower.
Is it suitable for underfloor heating?
Yes. The heating must keep the temperature at the adhesive below 27°C and be commissioned before fitting. Once the floor is down, bring the heating back up gradually over at least seven days.
Can I fit it myself?
Luvanto recommends professional installation for its glue-down ranges, and the warranty requires the floor to be laid by a fitter with at least an NVQ Level 2 in flooring, to BS8203, using Luvanto adhesive. If you'd like to fit a floor yourself, the Click Plus ranges are designed for that.
