Product information
Visco 17 high-performance acoustic floor panels are ideal for renovations. Unlike Visco 400 or 600, these overlay boards can be used when there is an existing sub-floor or when there is need to increase the height of the sub-floor.
Visco 17 overlay boards are comprised of 4 individual elements: MR MDF, Visco elastic strips, fibreboard and chipfoam. Each element plays a key role in its high acoustic performance, for example the elastic strips dampen the sound vibrations before they reach the building, reducing any airborne noise.
When testing Visco 17 in a complete flooring system including 22mm chipboard deck, 225mm solid wood joists and resilient bars, it has been deemed fit to satisfy requirements of Approved Document E.
Visco 17 is an extremely versatile product in terms of floor finishes, for example the floor panels can be used in conjunction with carpet, tiling or wooden floors. There are some floors that require more attention than others, for example when applying vinyl to the acoustic floor panels, 6mm plywood or hardboard should be overlaid before the flooring to prevent mirroring of the joists.

- Delivered on a pallet Flooring is heavy, so it comes palletised to the kerbside. You’ll need to move it from the roadside into the property.
- We confirm the day Deliveries run Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. We’ll confirm your date once the order is processed. We can’t offer timed slots.
- Check before you sign Someone needs to be in to sign for it. Look over the packs first and tell us within 24 hours if anything is damaged.
- Book your fitter afterwards Wait until your flooring has arrived before booking a fitter. We can’t cover fitter costs if a delivery is held up.

The soundproofing ratings of this product are 60dB impact and 49dB airborne.
These figures aren’t a measure of the reduction that the product gives, but is the figure that you would get following a soundproofing test after fitting, on the same or a similar full floor set-up to the one used during testing (not just the product in isolation).
