Product information
SoundBarrier is a 1mm acoustic underlay from QA Flooring Solutions, the company behind Luvanto. It goes under click LVT that doesn't already have its own underlay, helping to reduce wear and tear and make the floor quieter to walk on.
Please check your flooring before ordering. Luvanto Click Plus and Craftsman SPC Click already have a 1mm IXPE underlay attached, and the manufacturer's warranty for both says they must be laid straight onto the subfloor with no separate underlay. SoundBarrier isn't needed with those floors. If you're not sure whether it suits your floor, get in touch before you buy and we'll check with the manufacturer.

Lay SoundBarrier over a clean, flat, dry subfloor that meets the click floor manufacturer’s tolerance (for Luvanto and Craftsman this is 3mm over 2m).
Before you start
- Butt the edges together rather than overlapping them, and trim it to the room.
- Then lay the click floor on top as normal, keeping the expansion gap at the walls.
- Don’t use it under floors that already have an attached underlay, such as Luvanto Click Plus or Craftsman SPC Click.
- Delivered on a pallet Flooring is heavy, so it comes palletised to the kerbside. You’ll need to move it from the roadside into the property.
- We confirm the day Deliveries run Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. We’ll confirm your date once the order is processed. We can’t offer timed slots.
- Check before you sign Someone needs to be in to sign for it. Look over the packs first and tell us within 24 hours if anything is damaged.
- Book your fitter afterwards Wait until your flooring has arrived before booking a fitter. We can’t cover fitter costs if a delivery is held up.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use it under Luvanto Click Plus?
No. Click Plus already has a 1mm IXPE underlay attached, and Luvanto's warranty requires it to be laid directly on the subfloor with no separate underlay.
How many rolls do I need?
Each roll covers 15m². Divide the room area by 15 and round up.
Is it suitable for glue-down LVT?
No, it's for click floors. For a fully glued dryback floor, use Quiet Roll Universal 2mm, which is glued to the subfloor with the flooring glued on top.
Will it level an uneven floor?
No. A 1mm underlay won't hide dips or bumps. Level the subfloor first, or use Jumpax Basic boards.
