Product information
Design Strips are thin LVT inserts that sit between Luvanto Design and Premium Design tiles or planks. Use them on stone-effect floors to imitate grout lines, or on wood-effect floors to create borders, frames and inlaid lines. At 3mm wide, these give a fine, subtle line that suits marble effects and smaller tiles.
The strips are glued down in the same way as the floor itself, so they're only for Luvanto's glue-down Design ranges, not click floors. There are eight colours: White, Chalk, Dust, Silver, Granite Sparkle, Granite Grey, Walnut and Black. If you want a stronger or finer line, the same colours come in 5mm too.

Design Strips are part of a glue-down installation.
Before you start
- Your fitter lays them into the Luvanto adhesive between the tiles or planks as the floor goes down, so the subfloor preparation, acclimatisation and adhesive are the same as for the Luvanto Design floor.
- Plan the layout before you start so the lines run straight and evenly spaced.
- They can’t be used with a click floor.
- Delivered on a pallet Flooring is heavy, so it comes palletised to the kerbside. You’ll need to move it from the roadside into the property.
- We confirm the day Deliveries run Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. We’ll confirm your date once the order is processed. We can’t offer timed slots.
- Check before you sign Someone needs to be in to sign for it. Look over the packs first and tell us within 24 hours if anything is damaged.
- Book your fitter afterwards Wait until your flooring has arrived before booking a fitter. We can’t cover fitter costs if a delivery is held up.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use Design Strips with a click floor?
No. They're only for Luvanto's glue-down Design and Premium Design ranges, as they need to be bonded into the adhesive with the floor.
How many packs do I need?
Each pack holds 50 strips of 914mm, which is about 45.7 linear metres. Add up the total length of all the lines you want, add a little for cuts, and divide by 45.7.
Should I choose 3mm or 5mm?
3mm gives a fine line that looks like a tight grout joint; 5mm is bolder and more visible. Your fitter can show you both if you're not sure.
Which colour should I pick?
Pale strips such as White, Chalk or Silver suit dark slate and concrete tiles, while Black or Granite Grey stand out on marble and pale stone. Walnut and Black work well as borders on wood floors.
