This Polythene Vapour Control Layer (VCL) 500g (Green) is a [300mu/1200 – 125mu/500] gauge high specification, blown polythene layer. This product is intended for use as a vapour control layer within timber frame construction walls and areas where the passage of water vapour requires control.

Product Description

This Polythene Vapour Control Layer (VCL) 500g (Green) is a single-ply, non-laminated, virgin grade blown polythene material. It is suitable for use as an air leakage barrier and vapour control layer in insulated walls, roofs and flooring.

Without the use of a VCL, buildings are at significant risk of developing interstitial condensation, which can compromise structure and degrade insulation performance over time.

This product will minimise condensation and control moisture to ensure heating costs do not rise and buildings remain uncompromised. This Polythene Vapour Control Layer (VCL) 500g (Green) must be used in conjunction with a two-tape sealing system to provide a fully airtight seal.
