Product Description

Best price guaranteed! We guarantee the best price on Regupol 3912 ā€“ if you find it cheaper, contact usĀ and weā€™ll beat it!

Regupol 3912 (now named Regupol Sonus 3912) impact noise reduction mat is manufactured using a tough and durable 6mm polyurethane foam and has been designed to reduce the effects of impact sound at the source. It is a retrofit barrier that is perfect for refurbishments and timber based construction beneath carpets, hardwood floors, battens and T&G chipboard.

Regupol Sonus 3912 is lightweight making it quick and easy to install. To get the best results out of the Sonus 3912 itā€™s recommend that it is bonded to the sub-floor or a stiffening layer if you arenā€™t applying directly to the sub-floor. The 6mm depth means it reduces construction heights when compared to thicker solutions.

The Sonus 3912 has a low-tog insulation rating making it suitable for underfloor heating applications. When using it in an underfloor heating system you can either apply the Regupol directly to the sub-floor then place the underfloor heating system on its surface; alternatively, the Regupol can be placed above the underfloor heating system on a stiffening layer such as a 6mm T&G plywood or chipboard.

Regupol Sonus 3912 has been independently tested by a UKAS accredited laboratory to ensure it complies with building regulations in accordance with Approved Document E 2003. It also delivers long term performance without collapse under highpoint loads and is resistance to ageing and deformation.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS PRODUCT CAN ONLY BE USED WITH WOOD AND LAMINATES WHICH ARE 15mm OR MORE.

Soundproofing

Rating

The soundproofing rating of this product are 23dB impact.

These figures arenā€™t a measure of the reduction that the product gives, but is theĀ figure that you would get following a soundproofingĀ test,Ā on the same or a similar full floor set-up to the one used during testing (not just the product in isolation).

Please see the product specification for more details on how these figures were achieved.

Effective Reduction

This product will give you an impact reduction of 10dB, when used as a standalone solution (not taking into account the full floor system).

Results are recorded by implementing a 100dB volume in a first floor room, the dB volume is then recorded in the room below and then again when the product is in place. In this instance the impact dB volume in the room below prior to laying the product was 33dB and after laying the product, the dB volume in the room was recorded at 23dB. This means that the product gives an actual impact reduction of 10dB and a rating of 23dB when used as part of a full floor system.

Who is this product for?

This product is used to sandwich between sub-floors and another base layer to reduce impact noise.

This is particularly suited to reducing impact sound travelling down to the floor below.
