Product Description

Ideal for conversion projects the Visco 400 panels offer exceptional acoustic performance, especially when there is a need to provide a new structural deck with acoustic properties over timber joists.

Visco comprises of 4 individual elements; T&G chipboard, Visco elastic strips, OSB III and chipfoam. Each element plays a key role in the Visco 400’s high acoustic performance, for example the elastic strips dampen the sound vibrations before they reach the building, reducing any airborne noise.

When testing in a complete flooring system including 225mm timber joists, 100mm slabs and resilient bars, the Visco 400 has been deemed fit to satisfy the requirements of Approved Document E. The Visco 400 is an extremely versatile product in terms of floor finishes for example the floor panels can be used in conjunction with carpet, tiling or wooden floors, however there are some floors that require more attention that other for example when applying vinyl to the acoustic floor panels, the panels should be overlaid with 6mm plywood or hardboard to prevent mirroring of the joists.

• Excellent impact and airborne sound performance.
• T&G edge profile for ease of installation.
• Can be laid directly to the surface of any exposed joists.
• Can be used with most floor finishes.

The soundproofing ratings of this product are 55dB impact and 50dB airborne.

These figures aren’t a measure of the reduction that the product gives, but is the figure that you would get following a soundproofing test, on the same or a similar full floor set-up to the one used during testing (not just the product in isolation).

Please see the product specification for more details on how these figures were achieved.
