Installation Guide

When installing CMS WB5 Acoustic Barrier Mats on to the sub-floor – ensure the sub-floor is clean, dirt free, with any lumps removed. Butt the 2mm sheets together on the sub-floor and either tape them together with a strong tape or bond them to sub-floor using a polyurethane based contact adhesive. Use a sealant around the edge of the room to ensure any gaps are filled. Your underlay or flooring can be laid directly on to the barrier mat – and stuck-down if required.

If installing CMS WB5 Acoustic Barrier Mats on to walls or ceilings – they can be fixed in place by tack pins & washers, banding, or bonding using a polyurethane based contact adhesive – and then covered by a standard or SoundBlock plasterboard.
