The kitchen is so often the centre of the family home, so why shouldn’t you have the best flooring and underlay beneath your feet for that cushioned and warm feel ? Your kitchen flooring is always under a lot of pressure so our underlay includes both crumb rubbers and sponge rubbers which will give your kitchen that prolonged protection from wear and tear. If a carpet is fitted in a kitchen, it’s not normally a thick one; most often, carpet tiles are used. You need to use a thinner, hard wearing and dense underlay. For laminate or wood flooring any laminate or wood underlay is appropriate – unless there is any possibility of damp, in which case you should use one with a built in vapour barrier – or you have underfloor heating, and you should use one with a very low tog to let heat pass through.
