Dining Room Underlay
Showing the single result
Dining rooms usually have heavy furniture such as dining room tables, so if you are carpeting it then it is important to use a dining room underlay which is firm and durable. Of the three different types of carpet underlay (sponge rubber, PU foam and crumb rubber), crumb rubber is the most hard wearing as it is made from recycled car tyres. This might make it sound too firm, but in fact that’s not the case – it is very springy. This minimises pressure marks and indentations, and prevents lasting damage to your carpet or flooring. If you are putting down a wood or laminate floor in your dining room then you can use whichever laminate underlay you want. The right underlay makes a big difference in the dining room – reduce sound with an acoustic laminate flooring underlay, let the heat through with underfloor heating underlay, enjoy a luxurious carpet underlay, or protect your carpet against heavy furniture with crumb rubber underlay.
